Time is quickly approaching for the 2018 California Cooperative Association of Missionary Baptist Churches. Messengers and visitors will be gathering in Bakersfield, CA on March 27 - 29, 2018 for the 68th annual messenger meeting! First Missionary Baptist Church of Bakersfield is hosting the meeting, and this will be the first time the messengers have ever met in Bakersfield!
In your information packet, you will find all the information regarding the meeting: the proposed agenda, schedules, meeting locations, hotel information, and forms, etc. Would you please complete all the necessary forms that apply to your church (when filling out forms/letters, please print legibly and clearly) and bring them with you to Bakersfield, along with your church's check (s) for associational expenses. Be sure and make all necessary corrections/additions to your church letter as this information will be reflected in the 2018 Minute Book. Please make sure all mailing addresses are up to date. If your church will be unable to attend the meeting this year, you can mail your forms and check (s) to:

The Tuesday and Wednesday messenger meetings will be held at the GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH, located at 2550 Jewetta Ave., in Bakersfield, CA. To get to Grace Baptist, head west on Rosedale Hwy (from Hwy 99), for a few miles, until you come to Jewetta Ave. Turn left on Jewetta. You will see the church, shortly after turning onto Jewetta.
A separate list of hotel accommodations, with contact numbers, is included in your packet. These are the closest hotels to Grace Baptist Church (about 10 mins. away). No special rates have been established at these hotels. While there are many hotels available in Bakersfield the 8 listed are the closest to Grace Baptist. There are also a good variety of restaurants in the vicinity of the hotels.
I am also including a current report of our various account balances, to assist you in planning your associational giving:
1. Minute Book/ Expense of meeting (General fund) - after all the bills are paid for the 2018 meeting there will approximately $8,000.00 remaining. The healthy surplus is due to the much lower cost we paid for meeting facilities in Redding last year.
2. Missionary Committee Travel Fund - presently is at zero.
3. Youth Activities-$728.33
4. History and Archives - $8,380.97
5. Music Fund - $792.96
You can write just one check for your association expenses. Please clearly designate how you would like your monies to be disbursed.
Please include all monies for the State Ladies Auxiliary with your church's state ladies auxiliary letter. Also, if you have any offerings for CMD, please send them directly to the First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Visalia.
